Amenities
On this page is some information about a few select amenities: the shops, the spa, the rooms, the golf course, the pools, the bowling alley, the many sport opportunities, and the theatre. The experience says far more than my words can for sure.
ShopsThere are seventeen shops at the hotel, including a liquor store. They have anything and everything for gifts or yourself, from clothes to sculptures (slideshow, above), paintings, jewellery, golf equipment, mountain sports equipment, books and much more. Most shops can be found on mezzanine one, which means you don't even need to leave the hotel to get your banff shopping experience checked off your list!

SpaThe spa has a variety of treatments to make you feel pampered, only those who are over the age of 18 may enter. There is 1 large indoor mineral pool, 1 outdoor mineral pool and 3 hot tubs in the facility. There is also a sauna, an adjoining fitness space and unique terraces. Here they offer multiple packages with baths, massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, hair styling, and certain things just for men.

RoomsThe cheapest room here will go for 240$ to 300$ a night, where as the most expensive one goes for (on average) 3500$. The most expensive room [know as the Royal Suite] is a 1 bedroom suite including 2 bathrooms, a small pantry, office space, grand living room, a grand piano, a secondary lounge area with a fireplace, a 360 degree view of the bow valley along with a reading nook accessible via spiral staircase. It is also the highest room in the hotel.

Golf courseThe hotel is one of the top three golf resorts in North America, with two courses, one 18-hole (designed by Stanley Thompson himself) and a 9-hole course (designed by Cornish and Robinson). The Stanley Thompson tournament has been held at this course once.
|
PoolsThe Banff Springs Hotel has two pools for guests to use free of charge, one enormous lap pool along with an outdoor heated pool. The spa also has many hot tubs and mineral pools, for more information on the spa, see above.
|
Bowling AlleyThe hotel offers a bowling alley with four lanes, open for anyone, anytime. There is even a "family night", a perfect way to end an alpine memory-filled day.

SportsThe hotel has a soccer field (slideshow, above) as well as tennis courts accessible to guests when, like the golf course, they are not covered in snow. There is also a store for all your winter sport needs and perfect conditions anytime during the Canadian winter, which is usually from late October to late February.

TheatreThe theatre is part of the conference centre. It can be used for your event, giving presentations and such, but also [I believe] shows movies every once in a while. Another great pastime that is right at the hotel
